A blog devoted to sharing the journeys of my heart

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness, For His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23

Just a Little Behind

Recently we had a beautiful snow and ice storm. (It equalled 4 days out of school! Crazy back roads...) The ice, albeit dangerous, makes things so beautiful! It really is a winter wonderland!!

Look at the tree in my neighbor's yard!

And the pretty icicles hanging on my porch.

And, last but not least, the festive snow covered pumpkins by my front door... haha.
Oh dear, December 17th... I'm just a little behind on the season!

UPDATE: The little girl in my class is doing really well. The family was familiar with seizures in their family, and are all doing well. Thanks for praying for them! :)

Protector

I have never been more scared in my life for a precious child than today... today I experienced a precious child in my room seizure for 25 minutes, going from being in and out of consciousness. turning blue and pale, to glazing over, to shaking...

now she is doing ok, but I can't imagine what the family is going through... almost losing a child, the uncertainty of the effects or what could happen in the future...

Oh dear friends, praise our Lord for protecting her from slipping away and there being huge damage to her body. Praise the Lord for allowing there to be the appropriate support in my room when the situation happened, and that we were able to keep her safe until the paramedics came...

I ask that you please pray for this precious child and her family. I can't imagine how scared they must be...

$50,000 buckaroos

If you were given $50,000 what would you do with it?

Well, my friend Noelle has a wonderful idea... She wouldn't use it on a new car, a down payment on a house, or a big shopping spree.... nah, she's got a better idea. You can go to her website and get lots of info about it - more than I can tell you or explain... http://charlotteincharlotte.wordpress.com but for now, here's the skinny... :)

She has been wanting to start a nonprofit organization for a long time that would help to make people aware of the needs of people in America, and around the world, and then help to organize ways and the means to meet those needs. Starting a nonprofit takes a lot of money. She has an opportunity to get this idea started... her idea has been selected to be in the running for a $50,000 grant. This would allow her to start up the organization to eventually help many people's physical and spiritual needs. The grant is given based on the amount of votes the proposal receives... so... go support a great thing and vote for her idea. :) I know she would appreciate it. :) (By the way, you can vote everyday!) http://www.refresheverything.com/sharethestories
